1. About SkolScore

SkolScore is an informational platform that aggregates publicly available school data to help parents compare schools. We are not a school, education board, or government body. We are not affiliated with UDISE+, CBSE, CISCE, or any school listed on our platform.

2. Informational Use Only

All data, scores, and comparisons on SkolScore are provided for informational purposes only. They are not a substitute for:

• Visiting schools in person.
• Speaking directly with school administrators.
• Consulting education experts or counselors.
• Verifying information with official sources (UDISE+, school websites).

School selection is a personal decision. SkolScore provides data to inform that decision, not to make it for you.

3. Data Accuracy

School data comes from government records (UDISE+), board directories (CBSE, CISCE), and publicly accessible school websites. While we strive for accuracy, data may be outdated, incomplete, or contain errors from the original source. See our Data Disclaimer for full details on data sources and limitations.

4. SkolScore Ratings

The SkolScore rating (1-10) is a composite metric calculated from publicly available data points including infrastructure, teacher quality, student-teacher ratio, and parent reviews. It is an informational index, not an official ranking or accreditation. The methodology is transparent and described on each school page. Schools are not charged for their listing or score.

5. User Reviews

When submitting a school review, you agree to:

• Provide honest, factual information based on your genuine experience with the school.
• Not post defamatory, abusive, or misleading content.
• Not submit fake reviews (for or against any school).
• Accept that your review may be displayed publicly and may be moderated or removed if it violates these terms.

SkolScore reserves the right to moderate, edit, or remove reviews that violate these guidelines. Reviews are the opinion of the reviewer and do not represent the views of SkolScore.

6. School Claims

School representatives may claim their school profile to update information. Claiming a profile requires verification of your association with the school. Claiming does not give you the ability to modify your SkolScore rating, remove reviews, or alter government-sourced data.

7. Intellectual Property

The SkolScore platform, scoring methodology, design, and original content are the intellectual property of SkolScore. School data sourced from government databases remains in the public domain. You may not scrape, copy, or redistribute SkolScore ratings or aggregated data without permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

SkolScore is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any decisions you make based on information from our platform, including school enrollment, financial commitments, or relocation. Always verify critical information directly with the school.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of SkolScore after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify newsletter subscribers of significant changes.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Bangalore, Karnataka.
