SkolScore collects minimal personal information to provide our school comparison service:

  • Email address - when you subscribe to our newsletter or submit a school review.
  • Review content - when you write a review about a school, including your relationship to the school and years of experience.
  • Usage data - anonymous analytics about which pages you visit, collected via Vercel Analytics. No cookies are used for tracking.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To send you newsletters you have opted into.
  • To display your school reviews publicly (your email is never shown).
  • To improve our service based on aggregate, anonymous usage patterns.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Ever.

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely on Supabase (hosted on AWS) with row-level security policies. Email addresses are encrypted at rest. We retain your data only as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service.

4. School Data Sources

School information displayed on SkolScore is sourced from publicly available government databases (UDISE+, CBSE, CISCE directories) and publicly accessible school websites. This data is factual and publicly available. See our Data Disclaimer for details on accuracy and limitations.

5. Cookies

SkolScore does not use tracking cookies. We use Vercel Analytics which is a privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics solution. No third-party advertising cookies are present on our site.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request a copy of your personal data.
  • Request deletion of your personal data.
  • Unsubscribe from newsletters at any time.
  • Request removal of a review you submitted.

7. School Representatives

If you represent a school listed on SkolScore and wish to update information, claim your school profile, or request corrections, please contact us at schools@skolscore.com. We respond to all school inquiries within 48 hours.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify newsletter subscribers of any significant changes. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
